So Many Ways to Move

On Wednesday, June 11, 2025, Counterpoints Greece returns to the ever-welcoming Municipal Market of Kypseli, presenting So Many Ways to Move—a poetic and politically charged performance on Palestine by the visual art duo chamæleon. This performance is part of the broader project An Artists’ Manual Against Apartheid AAMAA), a collaborative initiative by chamæleon, the Shubbak Festival, Counterpoints (UK), and other partners.

In a time when silence amounts to complicity, So Many Ways to Move stands as an artistic act of resistance against apartheid and settler colonialism. Combining electronic music with spoken word, the piece is both a sensory journey and a political statement. It invites audiences to reflect, connect, and take a stand—against genocide, occupation, and systemic complicity. The work explores resistance in all its forms, confronting the physical and psychological warfare inflicted upon Palestine, Lebanon, and the wider region. At once a personal meditation and a collective outcry, it seeks transformation through art.

At its core, the performance is a collaboration between Farah Chamma, a Palestinian poet and performer, and LIEV, a Brazilian music producer and multimedia artist—together forming the duo chamæleon. Through the layering of sound, language, and visual texture, they investigate identity, resistance, and the potential for renewal. This aesthetic becomes a powerful reminder of the proximity of shared struggles and the urgent need for embodied resistance.

“We believe in the power of art—not only to reflect the times, but to move with them.”
— Farah & Liev

Chamæleon: chamæleon is a multimedia duo formed by Palestinian poet, performer, and actress Farah Chamma and Brazilian music producer and multimedia artist LIEV. Together, they explore the intersections of spoken word and musical textures. chamæleon delves into the unknown, the search for belonging, and the discovery of identity.

FARAH: A Palestinian poet and performer, Farah is known for her spoken-word performances, in which she combines orality, acting, and live music. She’s participated in many different events and festivals around the world including: Palestine en Campagne (France), Wilde Möhre (Germany), Bradford Literature Festival (UK), Karama Film Festival (Jordan), Faladura (Portugal), Requiem for Justice (Mexico), Le Guess Who? (Holland) and many more. In February 2021, she and Brazilian music producer Liev launched chamæleon, a poetry and electronic music duo. She is currently an actress in training at Sharjah Performing Arts Academy.

LIEV: LIEV is a multi-instrumentalist and electro-organic music producer based in Brazil. His research explores the intersection between machine-generated and human-made sounds. In his work, everyday noises and the human voice—primarily in spoken word pieces—serve as raw material, blended with complex machine and AI-generated sounds to create immersive soundscapes and music that reflect the contemporary human experience. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Visual Arts from the Unesp Arts Institute and works at the intersection of Visual Arts, Music, and Technology.

The performance event is organised by Counterpoints Greece with the generous hospitality of the Kypseli Municipal Market in the framework of Refugee Week Greece 2025.
